Description
When you try to share a single host, access is denied because the netmask calculations
are off if the last octet is non-zero.

I blog about this here:
http://blogs.sun.com/tdh/entry/open_solaris_and_sharing_subnets
http://blogs.sun.com/tdh/entry/checking_a_host_entry_some

And we have customers asking about it here:
http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=66849&tstart=0
http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=69423&tstart=0

Note that the last one is ZFS, so we might also have an issue in the zfs command.
