Description
Better support for high bandwidth, high delay networks by either increasing the statically defined buffer (e.g. resync with OpenSSH 4.7, see http://openssh.org/txt/release-4.7), or incorporate changes from the High Performance SSH/SCP - HPN-SSH patch (see http://www.psc.edu/networking/projects/hpn-ssh/).
See http://marc.info/?l=openssh-unix-dev&m=119462978025543&w=2 for some performance figures: "ex. On a patch between Switzerland and the US OpenSSH4.6 peaked at 0.69MB/s, OpenSSH peaked at 17.7MB/s and HPN-SSH at 58.3 MB/s(though it was CPU bound at this point)".
