The first argument to the interrupt-start and interrupt-complete probes (a dev_info_t pointer) can be NULL if there's no associated device e.g. if the interrupt is due to a timing event or a cross-call (interprocessor interrupt or IPI). The notes in the sdt chapter should reflect this caveat.
