Description 
This is a regression in b99.  I didn't see this before.  When booting, I see
"atapi_start_cmd: drive select failed"
and then a bunch of timeouts that hang the system.

   Do you tried the earlier snv_98 build on the same machine?
there are no changes on ata driver in snv_98.
