One would expect 'hg webrev' would be available as part of Mercurial transition but somehow it was forgotten.
Was it really forgotten? I thought it was an explicit decision;
"webrev" by itself does the right thing and is hg-aware.
Why is this needed, other than old habits?
One can make an argument that all tasks done within a repository should feel integrated and have one "face".
Perhaps, but your claim is that this was "forgotten", but you've provided
no evidence, and the fact that the webrev command was updated to do
exactly what "wx webrev" used to do (albeit slower) is clear evidence
that no one "forgot" about webrev, they simply chose a different
direction. So, your remark appears incorrect and frankly a touch
of an insult to the engineers who worked on the transition.
I guess it's the tone of this bug report that rubs me wrong.
I did not mean to insult anyone. Will it help if I mark the CR as RFE ?
Yes, that helps, thanks (and personally I'm not insulted since I didn't
work on the transition ;-). Perhaps a synopsis of "hg webrev would be
convenient" or somesuch would also be more accurate.
good, okay.
