Description 
Domain users cannot connect to CIFS shares from MacOS 10.5 if the default NetBIOS domain name is not used during the Active Directory installation procedure.

*default NetBIOS domain name* - the leftmost label in the DNS domain name up to the first 15 bytes.
Work Around 
Prefix the username with the NetBIOS domain name when prompting for username at the connect time.
