Description
While trying to help an IHV driver author work through the intricacies of pkg_drv
(he wanted to build a single package with both 32- and 64-bit DU driver mods),
I asked this question of the relevant mailing list:

Who owns SUNWpkgd and the pkg_drv util?

An IHV engineer is trying to get a DU disk image created
for his driver, and wants to have both 32bit and 64bit
modules included in the package. (The very patient
people from {other IHV} are in a similar situation).

The pkg_drv util is blissfully unaware that anything from
Santa Clara or Sunnyvale that isn't SPARC could possibly
exist in 64bit mode, so completely refuses to play ball.

I know we're moving to IPS etc real soon now, but I still
believe we need to get this sort of tool updated so that
we can smooth new IHVs barriers to entry.

Subsequently, comments were attached to CR 6206246 indicating
that there were some newer scripts available inside Sun.

This RFE is to make those scripts available to everybody
who wants to develop drivers on Solaris.

There is also a whitepaper which will be made available via
opensolaris.org.
