Description 
VIO drivers (vnet, vswitch, and the vdisk server) use LDC shadow mapping to access descriptor rings from exporting domains. Shadow mapping requires extra copying and has been shown to reduce guest networking performance. Performance could be improved by using LDC direct mapped shared memory.
