Description:
After performing the following steps, the appliance is no longer listed as a member of the workgroup that it, as well as the CIFS client, were previously members of for around 10 mins.

- Join the CIFS client to a workgroup shared with the appliance. Browse to a shared filesystem. Mount and write to it.
- Leave the workgroup, join another workgroup and rebooting the client. Verify you cannot see the appliance or its resources.
- Rejoin the workgroup shared with the appliance from a CIFS client, reboot the client.

At this point, the appliance is no longer listed as a member of the workgroup in Windows Explorer when I attempt to browse and find it. Net view also does not show the appliance.

If I manually map the share (using the tools, map network drive drop down menu option) I am prompted for the local user login for the appliance. I log in, mapping the resource. The appliance still does not appear in the workgroup list in Windows explorer. (I attempted to refresh windows explorere many times without success)

Eventually after around 10 mins, an "unknown" entry appears in the workgroup, as well as the appliance name itself. After selecting either one, you are prompted for the appliance local user account login. You are once again able to browse the appliance resources from Windows explorer.
Work Around
You can manually map a filesystem from the "Tools" menu of windows explorer at any time.
After approximately 10 minutes, the appliance appears in windows explorer workgroup.
Each time you join a new workgroup, refresh the SMB SMF service.
