Description
DejaVu fonts are a derivative of the Bitstream Vera fonts, currently included
with JDS. Bitstream Vera fonts are limited to only Latin and Latin-1 portion of
the Unicode. DejaVu is a forked project with aims to include most of the Unicode
characters, including non-Latin scripts.
It's obvious that making DejaVu the default font of JDS will bring a uniform feel
to the interface. Many GNU/Linux distributions have already accepted it or have
declared to make it default in their future versions. Ubuntu and Fedora Core are
two examples that come to mind.
