Description 
In order to install from DVDs, vDisk needs to support cdio(7I).
Also install APPS into LDOMS from DVDs can be inportant
Genentech request that Guest LDom can install OS and apps from DVD-rom. Yes they can use netinstall/jumpstart but in many cases (POC, Q&A, Test new release of OS and softwares), a straight installation or loading from DVD is the simplest and quickest way for their operation. IBM LPAR can do it.

Work Around 
Use JumpStart/netinstall.
removing workaround which is no longer applicable (bug was fixed a long time ago)
