Description 
The X11(5) man page says:

     Since window managers are regular  (albeit  complex)  client
     programs,  a  variety  of  different  user interfaces can be
     built. Solaris comes with  two  desktop  environments  which
     include their own window managers. The CDE window manager is
     dtwm(1) and the GNOME window manager  is  sawfish(1).   

It should say metacity, not sawfish, is the window manager.
