After the completion of install, almost all Tier0 test systems had this symptom on the first (and subsequent) boot to the newly-installed system:
The message about waiting for the gui login screen was seen. Instead of the login screen then appearing, the screen would alternately flash all black with the white hourglass, then all white, at a very roughly one-second-per-change rate. This has happened on 7 of 9 test systems at this writing. The remaining 2 systems did present the gui login screen, so this is not a 100% failure, and may be affected by the type of graphic adapter or some other system-specific factor such as memory size.
