Integration FreeTTS v1.2 provides some critical fixes for the
Gnopernicus screen reader and emacspeak (the latters is available
on the Solaris companion CD). The fixes include:
1) Ability to speak when system sounds are turned on. Without
this, a user cannot use system sounds with Gnopernicus.
2) Performance improvements. Without these, Gnopernicus and
emacspeak verge on being unusable.
3) Pronunciation issues. Without these, many common unix
terms are mispronounced and things like "OK" are pronounced
as Oklahoma instead of OK.
FreeTTS v1.2 should be integrated into our JDS distributions for both
Solaris and Linux asap.
