Installed Sol10-b74 on disk A, copied partition tables to disk B, created metadb
on both and mirrored all partitions. Boots fine when A and B installed, but if
just one drive (A or B) installed, gets to loading kernel stage, then does a
panic reset, restarting the boot process.
STEPS TO DUPLICATE
-------------------------
Install Solaris 10_b74 on disk A, create 16+mb partition and install metadb
(metadb -a -f -c 2 c1t0d0s6), use metainit, metaroot, lockfs, to create meta
partitons, (see included script) add line "set md:mirrored_root_flag=1" to
/etc/system, fix vfstab, and reboot. Use metattach to start mirroring and use
metastat to see when finished. Halt system, pull one drive (ether one), and try
to boot. System goes into boot reset cycle.
EXPECTED VS ACTUAL RESULTS
-------------------------------------
System should boot up. I do this on Sun Sparc systems all the time.
ERROR MESSAGES
---------------------
Not readable, resets system instantly.
