Bug 160766: speech doesnt stop when told in terminal
Reporter: xxxxx@xxxxx.com (John Crawley)
Using gnopernicus 0.9.17 and gnome-terminal 2.6.1
- Enable gnopernicus with speech enabled
- Open a terminal
- Type in "ps -ef" and <Return>
Notice that gnopernicus starts to speak out all the processes.
Realise that this is getting annoying so press <Control> to
shutup speech.
Notice that gnopernicus ignores the command and continues on
speaking until it makes its way through all the processes.

I can not reproduce this problem. If I press <Control Left> the speech output is
interrupted.
Can you still reproduce this bug with the two last patches from bug #157786
applied ?
------- Additional Comment #2 From xxxxx@xxxxx.com 2004-12-08 09:43 -------
see last patch attached to bug 157786; this issue is known but a fix is available.
------- Additional Comment #3 From xxxxx@xxxxx.com 2004-12-08 09:43 -------
Dana, John's code doesn't have those patches (yet).
------- Additional Comment #4 From Dana Ormenisan 2004-12-08 09:46 -------
Can this bug be closed as a duplicate of bug #157786?
------- Additional Comment #5 From xxxxx@xxxxx.com 2004-12-08 09:47 -------
I think this is a separate issue, although it was discovered and fixed in the
invesigation of 157786. 157786 was about missing speech, not excess speech :-)
------- Additional Comment #6 From Dana Ormenisan 2004-12-08 09:50 -------
OK, in this case the bug will be closed after the last patch attached to bug
157786 will be applied in CVS.
