It would be beneficial to include a more recent version of AST ksh (ksh93) that is not already extended like dtksh is. we routinely compile this shell and install it on our machines as it provides a more full featured programming shell than ksh88. However, I do not suggest removing ksh88 (/usr/bin/ksh) rather letting them coexist (/usr/bin/ksh93).
